Christopher J. Novak, 48, of Auburn, New York, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning. He was born to Darlene (Lavery) Novak and Joseph Novak. He was a graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School and SUNY Brockport University where he was a brother of Sigma Alpha Mu and also where he met and fell in love with his wife, Michelle (Campbell) Novak. Christopher was a New York State Correctional Officer for twenty years with the majority of that time being at Auburn Correctional Facility. He was a family man who loved his family first and foremost. He had a deep love of music that brought him and Michelle to several Dave Matthews Band concerts throughout the years. Most other times you would find him on the golf course or watching it on television.
He was predeceased by his parents, Darlene (Lavery) Novak and Joseph Novak.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Michelle (Campbell) Novak; daughter, Kayli Novak; son, Owen Novak; sisters, Melanie Niedzwiecki and Stephanie White, mother in-law Rosemary Campbell, sister in-law, Kelly Campbell (Richard Kissel); uncle Warren Lavery, aunt Shirley Lavery, nieces and nephews, Zachary Novak, Molly and Gabby Niedzwiecki, Aiden Smith and Marissa Campbell. Including several cousins.
