Krista M. Huey

May 2, 1985 ~ November 18, 2016 (age 31) 31 Years Old
AUBURN | Krista M. Huey, 31, of Auburn, died unexpectedly on Nov. 18, 2016.  Krista was born May 2, 1985 in Auburn, the first born daughter of David Huey and Alison (Rusin) Huey.  She attended Auburn High School.  For those close to her, she was also known lovingly as Peanut Marie.

Krista was an extremely loving and giving person, who was there for anyone who knew her.  She always loved above and beyond for her sisters and brother and would go to no end to spend time with them.  Even with the struggles she faced, her love for her son, Nick was never ending and she would call him as much as she could to hear his voice to make her days brighter, loving him to the moon and back.  Her kindness and generosity to her sister, Karrie was undying, and could even be said she loved her more than herself.  The selflessness poured out of Krista with those who ever needed help for any reason.  Her laugh and smile was infectious and could light up a room with them.  Krista really enjoyed getting all dolled up and never imagined walking out the doors without makeup or her hair done.

Krista is survived by her father, David (Sherri) Huey, of Weedsport; mother Alison Huey (Jim Roeschlaub), of Auburn.  She leaves behind her son, Nickulaus Benson; sisters, Sarah Huey, Karrie Huey, Karina Valerino, and Jenna Roeschlaub; brother, James Roeschlaub; a special step-sister, Amber Mosher (Matt Maurillo), and step-brother, Craig (Amber) Amidon.  She also leaves her precious nieces, Jazmine and Khloe Simmons, and her special aunt, Arleen Kushaney and uncle, Rick Kushaney, of Florida.  Krista is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Joan Rusin, of Auburn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and special friend, Marvin Riester, of Union Springs.  Krista also leaves behind a very beloved aunt and uncle, Alisa and Kevin Lawton, who saw all the good and love Krista had in her soul.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Heieck-Pelc Funeral Home LLC in Auburn.  Services will be private for family and close friends of the family.
