Donna M. (Hanna) Davis

Donna lost her battle with leukemia and MDS on Sunday December 10, 2017 at James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

She was born in Auburn and grew up in Weedsport. She had worked at Sylvania, TRW and most recently retired from Currier Plastics in Auburn, due to her illness, after 26 years of service. Donna thoroughly enjoyed her friends and co-workers. She certainly appreciated the graciousness of the Currier family themselves, (John and family) and her supervisor, Steve Salls.

Donna was predeceased by her father, James Hanna; her step father, Robert St. Croix; her mother Marjorie St. Croix; and her brother, Edward Hanna, USMC

Mrs. Davis is survived by sister and neighbor, Virginia Sternburg of Savannah, her daughter Virginia (Dave)

Nielens of Port Byron, her son Christopher Tezyk of Auburn, grandchildren, great grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend Donna’s calling hours Thursday December 14, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. in the Heieck – Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 E.Genesee St. Auburn, NY. . Funeral services for Donna  will be private.

In lieu of flowers, any and all contributions can be made to the Bone and Morrow Transplant Center at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center 601 Elmwood Ave. Rochester, NY. 14642. After being there so much, so often, Donna made friends with all of them. She appreciated them and their efforts. They made every appointment, so much more than that. It is a wonderful place.

Donna loved all of God’s creatures, especially horses and specifically hers. She will be missed by many.
