Michael F. Murray

Michael F. Murray, 57, of the Town of Throop died Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Mike is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gail (Mendillo) Murray, his daughter Erin Murray and her boyfriend Steven Johnson, his mother Patricia, his brother Dennis (Lynette) Murray, and their children Alex and McKayla Murray. Mike is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends to whom he was very close. He was predeceased by his father, Cornelius Murray.

Mike was an Auburn native. He graduated from Port Byron High School in 1978 and was also a graduate of SUNY Alfred College of Technology. He was employed by Anheuser Busch in Baldwinsville, New York. Mike was an avid sportsman; he enjoyed his time spent hunting, hiking, and kayaking, and loved his English Springer Spaniels. He enjoyed visiting his daughter in Florida, camping in the Adirondacks, and all of the time he spent with his family and friends. He held membership with The A.O.H of Auburn.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 19, 2017, from 1-4 p.m. in the Heieck – Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 E. Genesee St. Auburn, NY 13021.
