Nicholas F. DeOrio

Nicholas F. DeOrio, 85, of Auburn, died peacefully Friday, December 15, 2017 at The Commons on St. Anthony.

Mr. DeOrio was born in Auburn, the son of Frank and Mary DeMarco DeOrio. Nick lived all his life in Auburn, and served in the United States Coast Guard. He worked at General Electric, and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a communicant at Sacred Heart Church.

Surviving Mr. DeOrio are his children and their spouses, Francis and Lynda DeOrio, Donna and Joseph Blumrick, and Nicholas and Jennifer DeOrio; his grandchildren Danielle and Jamie Blumrick, Lauren and Alisyn DeOrio, and several nieces and nephews.

Nick was predeceased by his wife Dorothy “KoKo” DeOrio, June of this year, his parents, and his sisters Mary DeOrio Chalker, and Rita DeOrio Darrow.

In accordance with Mr. DeOrio’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Fleming, New York.
