Robert F. Riley

Robert F. Riley, 82 of Auburn passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 in Auburn Community Hospital.

Bob was born in Auburn on April 13, 1935 the son of George F. and Catherine Patchen Riley. He was a graduate from Auburn Central High School class of 1953. He was a retired Auburn City Firefighter with 35 years of service. Bob was also an owner / operator of Finger Lakes Fencing Company. He was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church.

Mr. Riley is survived by his wife Shirley Rossiter Riley of Auburn, their daughter Heather G. Beck and her companion John DeGolia and daughter –in-law Heidi L. Riley of Allegany.  His son R. Louis Riley of Syracuse, daughter Robin L. Goepfert of Colorado and a brother David (Lisa) A. Riley of Texas. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased in death by his son Ross M. Riley and his brother Richard G. Riley.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday Sept. 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Soule Cemetery, Sennett, NY.
