Dear Graney Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was such a great person. He will be missed. My prayers go out to you as you go through this difficult time. I wish I could be there in Auburn but I know live in Los Angeles with my family.
Tom and I had such great times during our high school years and when we were both in Auburn. He had such a zest for life. He was a big influence on me getting out of Auburn to pursue my dreams. I had hoped that our paths would meet again later in life. Tom's spirit lives on with all of us.

I totally agree with Gloria Larkin that the Graney family has always been the embodiment of love and family. As I try to learn how to process the loss of my dear friend and ex-husband Tom, the words I come up with are love, peace, serenity, compassion, and forgiveness. While I know that I feel a terrible sense of loss, pain, and regret - I know Tom would rather us spend our time rejoicing in the time we had with him, and in remembering his many, many victories and happy times.
Tom had such engaging eyes, a beautiful and genuine smile, and a warm and forgiving heart. May the lessons he taught us love, compassion, and forgiveness live on in all of us whose lives he touched.

To the Graney family: Together you kids made for the most amazing group of brothers and sisters I've ever known. Each of you were individually chosen, with love as their guide and a desire for family, by two wonderful people, Jack and Sheila. What an exceptional family they put together. It saddened me to hear of Tom's untimely passing --- what a talented guy he was! I'm very sorry for your loss. This is a difficult time for all of you --- I send my love.
