AUBURN | Chelsea Margaret Cottrell was granted her angel wings on June 19, 2014.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Chelsea had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.
Chelsea was born March 20, 1993.  Her life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.  Her gentle smile, pretty blue eyes, and her laughter brought so much joy to our family.  Chelsea fought to live with all her might.  We will miss her for the rest of our lives.
Although Chelsea was so tiny and frail, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.  She loved to rock, swing, and listen to the birdies chirp.  She could spend hours sitting in her favorite chair while cuddling close to those she loved so much.  She enjoyed music, reading, stories, and shopping.  Chelsea left a mark on everyone who met her.
Chelsea is survived by her loving parents, Timothy and Patricia Cottrell; sister, Ashley, of Buffalo; sisters, Brittany and Lindsay Cottrell; paternal grandparent, Gordon Cottrell; maternal grandmother, Jean Farrar; uncle, Lawrence (Valerie) Cottrell; aunt and godmother, Theresa Cottrell; uncle, Robert (Donna) Cottrell, of Buffalo; aunt, Jeanette (Walter) Grevelding; uncle, Patrick Cottrell; uncle, Christopher (Kelly) Cottrell; godfather, Joseph Feocco, and aunt, Nancy Bishop.  Chelsea was predeceased by her grandmother, Mary Cottrell; her grandfather, Walter J. Farrar Jr., and loving cousin, Amy Czubat.
A Mass of Christian burial will be opened to everyone who loved Chelsea at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Church, Clark Street Road, Auburn.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lake Avenue, Auburn.
