Dawn B. (Bauso) Noble

Dawn Bauso Noble, known lovingly as Dawn, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 4, 2026, at the age of 58, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Dawn was born on December 13, 1967, in Auburn, New York, to Dominic and Marie Bauso. A lifelong resident of Auburn, it was there that she spent her final days. Surrounded by the love of family and friends, Dawn was kept comfortable during her time at Auburn Community Hospital and was visited by many whose lives she had touched. By her side throughout was her husband of nearly 26 years, Daniel Noble, along with other loving and devoted family members who remained with her until the end.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Dominic Bauso. She is survived by her husband, Dan Noble, and their three children, Lucy Noble-Roberts (Wilson), Ella Noble, and Dominic Noble; her mother, Marie Bauso; and her brothers Paul Bauso (Mary) and David Bauso. Dawn is also survived by many family members and friends whom she loved deeply.

Dawn was an extremely dedicated educator, teaching at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES from1994 until her retirement in January 2024. She began her career at BOCES as a push-in CTEmath teacher, inspiring many students and staff alike. In 2016, she wanted a change from the typical classroom environment. She was hired as an E-Learning Specialist and an online business and math teacher, where she worked until her retirement in 2024. Dawn truly loved her job as an E-Learning Specialist and was happy to go to work every day. She impacted the lives of countless students and created lifelong friendships with her coworkers during her time at BOCES. No matter what classroom or office Dawn entered, she brought a sense of joy. For her students, she provided encouragement and support and always ensured that she aided them in success, however she could. Dawn knew that teaching was not only about lessons and grades, but, more importantly, about building connections with her students. Dawn was patient, encouraging, and genuinely eager to assist students in any way they needed. She will be remembered as a dedicated educator whose work reflected both skill and heart.

From a young age, Dawn valued education deeply and pursued it with purpose and determination. After graduating from Auburn High School, she earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Cayuga Community College. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. She continued her education at Syracuse University, earning a Master of Science in Reading Education. Then, in May of 2003, she returned to SUNY Cortland to earn her Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration. Dawn's academic achievements reflect her unwavering commitment to education and self-improvement.

Dawn’s faith was an important part of her life, as she was raised in the Catholic Church. With her devotion growing again after her metastatic breast cancer diagnosis, her trust in God and our Blessed Mother gave her strength through the most difficult times. Dawn was a true reflection of someone who displayed positive Christian values in everyday life. She was kind and accepting of everyone and everything. She held so much love in her heart. She was someone who could approach any situation with an open mind and offer guidance to anyone who needed it. Dawn's actions and attitude in everyday life demonstrated her kindness, faith, and most importantly, her love of family.

Outside of work, Dawn found simple pleasures in everything. She loved to travel; she visited many European countries and took many trips to Canada. She was an avid Disney fan who visited Walt Disney World with her family almost every year. She was thankful for her final vacation in December 2025; she saw California and Mexico for the first time, surrounded by family. She also loved swim aerobics, family dinners, being a part of a movie club, and spending time with her loved ones.

Dawn’s family would like to thank all 4 Central staff at Auburn Community Hospital for their dedication to her comfort in her final days, and their kindness to all of her visitors. The family would also like to sincerely thank Doctor Rajesh Rao and his staff at Auburn Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine. Doctor Rao’s expertise and dedication to her care guided Dawn and her family through many difficult moments. Lastly, the family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hematology Oncology Associates of Central New York for providing Dawn with outstanding care throughout her battle with cancer. Doctor Olga Kligerman and her Physician Assistant Shannon Walkup provided unmatched patient-centered care to Dawn throughout her cancer journey.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the countless friends and family who have given their love, support, kind words, and expressions of sympathy during this time.
