Your mom has made an everlasting friendship with my mom! I know that Donna was a true friend and confidant to my mom. I'm so glad they both got to see each other shortly before your mom moved on to a better place. They were so much more than "neighbors"! I'm so glad your mom is no longer suffering in this life. She put up a great fight! My heartfelt blessing to you all.

Hugs,
Lauren

Mark, Brain, and Tom,
I was so shocked to see this as it wasn't expected. I will always remember your Mon from the days of spring Basketball in the driveway to the fall nights of football in front of the house. My days of remembering your mom will never be forgotten. She was truly a special person to all of the gang from Van Patten Street. She treated us as if we were all her children with cookies for lunch and dinner for whoever stayed into the evening. I will miss her and never forget the times of yesterday.  I just can’t imagine the sorrow all three of you must feel. She will be missed by all of us.
                                                          I am truly sorry
                                                            Rich Avola.

Tom,Brian,Mark,and family:
I am very sorry over the loss of your mom. Donna wasn't only the best next door neighbor a person could ever hope for,but she was in fact my "Second Mom". especially after I lost  my parents. So many memories...sitting on the front porch and talking with her, making me dinner, inviting me over to have dinner with her and joking  that the the neighbors would start gossiping about the 2 of us having dinner together, getting into my car in the morning to discover that she had put a bag of cookies on my front seat the night before, always getting a birthday card from her every year...I was so blessed to have lived beside her my entire life...from childhood right up to the present days...
The loss of a parent is never easy. I encourage you to check out this website:www.spiritlyric.com. Listen to this uplifting song. Someone sent it to me when my parents died. I found it to be very helpful and comforting in dealing with the loss of my parents and hope that it will do the same for you.
God Bless,
Jimmy
