Edmund L. “Beaver” Bielowicz, Jr., a lifelong resident of Auburn, NY, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Auburn on April 27, 1957, Beaver was known to just about everyone by his nickname—a name that carried with it a legacy of hard work, good humor, and quiet strength.
Beaver spent his career working in construction and, on weekends, worked as a dairy farmer. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades—always building something, fixing equipment, or lending a hand as the family mechanic. If something broke, he could fix it.
Though he rarely had free time, when he did, he loved being outdoors. He found peace in the Adirondacks, especially while watching loons on the water. At home, he could often be found on the deck birdwatching and taking in the quiet. He also had a soft spot for John Wayne movies and napping to the sound of NASCAR on Sundays.
He was a man of few words but deep love. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his family, especially joking around with his three children—Joe, Amanda, and Samantha. He was a devoted husband to Martha Bielowicz, and a kind, humble, strong, and funny man who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Beaver will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
