Elizabeth A. Jones, 81, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday August 18, 2015 in Auburn Community Hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born in Syracuse and lived most of her life in Auburn. She was the daughter of the late William and Alima Coleman Sweeting.
Elizabeth is survived by her children; Victoria Jones, Marty (Mary)Jones , Bruce(Brenda) Jones, Robert Jones and Michael Jones whom she resided with . 12 Grandchildren: Missy, Michelle, Michael, Rob, Megan, Tommy, Misti, DeRonda, Dana, Daniel, Johnathan and Christopher. 13 Great-grandchildren: Terry, Kyle, Alexa, Tommy, Ashley, Brandon, Chase, Maximus, Cora, Lilly, LeAnna, Ann Marie and Mason.
She is also survived by her brother , David Sweeting of Syracuse, sisters Kathy Quimby of Auburn and Tammy Phelps of Syracuse. Including many, many friends.
Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her husband LaVerne Jones in 1983 and her daughter Karen Jones Shimer in 2009.
Mrs. Jones funeral services will conducted on Thursday August 20, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Heieck – Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 E. Genesee St. Auburn with calling hours starting at 5 to 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Fort Hill Cemetery.
