Florence (Sidor) Jurczak

Florence Jurczak, 93, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 27, 2025. A life resident of Auburn, Florence was born on August 27, 1932, the daughter of the late Mary (Kot) and Ignatius Sidor.

Florence graduated Central High School in 1950 and was a member of St. Hyacinth’s Church. She enjoyed her scratch-offs and her trips to the casino with her daughter and grandson.

Florence is survived by her daughter Diane Jurczak and the joy in her life her grandsons, Peter Dylan Prue and Holden Michael Prue and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Peter Jurczak and an infant son Peter, sisters Jennie Fabrizio, Loretta Plis, Helen Gavurnik, Jane Applebee and Stella Colella, and her brothers William and Edward Sidor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday Jan. 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Church 63 Pulaski St. Auburn. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Fleming. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday Jan. 5, 2026 from 4- 6 p.m. in the Heieck – Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 48 South St. Auburn, NY.
