Ivan Red Lashomb

Ivan “Red” Lashomb, 82,born in Brasher, NY to Eugene and Anna Lashomb on October 18, 1931, he passed away very unexpectedly on August 18, 2014 at Upstate University Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Red was a loving husband, father and grandfather as well as a friend to all that met him.
He loved spending time with his family and many friends. One of his favorite places to go was his camp, located in Locke NY or as Red called it "The Farm", where you would find him trimming his Christmas trees or clearing more land. The Farm was his favorite place to hunt and fish, and he could be found there with his son and friends for opening day of the hunting season. Red was known to enjoy a good cigar as he shared many stories and a joke or two amongst his friends.
Red was loved by many people and friends. He will be sadly missed by all along with his Enterprise family where he still worked for fourteen years. He was a devout Catholic, he volunteered at St. Mary's as an usher for over forty years. He was a coach for the Auburn Youth Hockey Club. He was a life member of the S-K  American Legion post #1324 and served in the Korean War conflict. He was also a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council #207 for over fifty years.
Red is survived by his wife Shirley of sixty one years, his one son Andrew and his companion Lisa Frank as well as his grandchildren Marc, Ryan and Meghan.
He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Barry Lashomb.

Calling hours are from 9:30am to 10:45a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. in  St. Mary's Church  Clark Street Auburn, NY.
