John Ford

John Ford of Union Springs, NY passed away in his home the evening of Wednesday April 24, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie L Ford, his two daughters Lenee R Ford and Jonette Ford, and two granddaughters, Naysa J Trackwell (age 19) and Braxton Z Ford-Sutton (age 2).  John was the owner and founder of Ford’s Antique Boat and Motor, and leaves a legacy of outstanding craftsmanship with the design and fabrication of Fordcraft Boats. He is the former owner of Owasco Marine, B&J Outboard Motor, and Lincoln Park Automotive. A party in honor and remembrance of his life and accomplishments will be held on Sunday May 19, 2019 starting at 1pm at the Finger Lakes Boating Museum (8231 Pleasant Valley Road, Hammondsport, NY 14840). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the museum at www.flbm.org, or to Hospice of the Finger Lakes at 1130 Corporate Dr, Auburn, NY 13021.
