Joseph Malinowski, Jr. Obituary

Joseph E. "Ed" Malinowski Jr. passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2023, at the age of 66 in his hometown of Auburn, NY. Born on November 12, 1956, in Auburn, NY, he brought joy and laughter to everyone he met, touched lives all around him, and will be remembered for his loving, funny, and generous spirit.

Ed was a skilled CNC machinist who took pride in his work and loved what he did. For many years, he anchored his career on a foundation of hard work and passion for his profession.

He relished spending his time fishing, whether alone or with friends and family for a day of fun.  A true sports enthusiast, Ed would be found watching any sport that was playing, no matter the season or team. His love of sports extended to a particular passion for the MX tracks, where he enjoyed spending time and sharing the excitement and exhilaration with the people he enjoyed most.

His family was the center of his world. Ed is survived by his daughter, Nicole and son-in-law, David Mastropietro, his two cherished granddaughters, Hannah and Emma Mastropietro, as well as his sister, Mary-Jo Malinowski Comstock and her husband, Mike Comstock,  his niece, Danielle Ingram and her husband, Rashaan, and his nephew, Mark Comstock and his wife, Kaleigh. Family and friend gatherings were a source of great joy for Ed, as his laughter could be heard echoing through the rooms and filling the hearts of those around him. He was preceded by his parents, Joseph and Mary Malinowski and most importantly his brother and best friend, Bob.

Ed's generosity and caring nature compelled him to give everything he had to everyone he cherished. He took great pleasure in his friendships, creating memories that will be forever remembered and cherished by all who loved him.

Ed's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew him and shared in his journey, as well as in the stories and laughter that continue to be shared even though he has passed.

As we bid farewell to Ed Malinowski Jr., we celebrate the love, laughter, and generosity that he shared throughout his life. We honor the legacy that he leaves behind as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and remember the joy and kindness that he brought into the lives and hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Ed's indomitable spirit and love of life will forever be a cherished memory for his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of sharing a moment with him. As he would always say “Groovy Cool Dad out!”
