June Sage of Auburn passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, in the Auburn Nursing Home at the age of 93.
June, the daughter of Edwin and Viola Greene Sage, was born on October 28, 1921.
June worked at the Simplex Company in Auburn for over 30 years. At the same time she helped care for her parents and brother, Richard. In the later years she was a member of the Senior Companions of Auburn providing support and care for many elderly people needing help. June was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Auburn where she was active in many areas of the church functions.
June is survived by her sister: Mary Sage Hines of Auburn along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her 11 sisters and brothers. Her sisters; Agnes Decker, Ida Franklin and Jean Shattuck. Her brothers; Edwin (Jim), Ellwood, Russell, Leland (Sandy), Gordon, Robert, Theodore and Richard Sage.
June’s funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Second Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to call for viewing from 10 to 11:30 AM prior to the service. Interment will be held in June at the Venice Center Cemetery where she will join her family.
