Kathleen Welch Obituary

Kathleen Ann Welch, 61, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, following a brief illness. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.  

  Born on August 29, 1964, to Robert and Elizabeth (Solomon) Wilzinski, Kathleen lived most of her life in Auburn and attended Auburn High School, Class of 1982. She was most recently employed at Walmart and previously worked at 7-Eleven/Wilson Farms for several years. Throughout her years of work, she formed lasting connections with coworkers and customers alike, and her friendly spirit and genuine personality left a lasting impression on many.  

  Kathleen was a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Charles Stillwell and his wife, Miya, and Joshua Anthony Nervina (Tamara Buchanan); her daughter, Stacey Stillwell (Brian LaPoint); and her grandchildren, Jadeion Harmon, Jacob and Brandon Nervina, Bailey LaPoint, Elizabeth-Jean and Abigail-Jean Stillwell.  

  She is also survived by her father, Robert P. Wilzinski; her sisters, Karen (Ron) Polcovich and Kristen Wilzinski; her brother, Robert Wilzinski Jr.; her aunt, Marcia Delaney; her uncle, Charles Solomon; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Kathleen treasured the people in her life and found happiness in the moments, memories, laughter, and connections she shared with them.  

  She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth (Solomon) Wilzinski; her grandparents, Peter and Patricia Wilzinski and Charles and Emma Solomon; and her sister Kristen’s fiancé, Paul J. Bona III. As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.   

  Those who knew Kathleen will remember her for her one-of-a-kind personality, her ability to make people laugh, and the energy and life she brought wherever she went. She loved people, she loved life, and she had a way of making even ordinary moments memorable. Her smile, laughter, and unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
