Kristine Nicole Dec, 45, of Saginaw, TX, passed away at home surrounded by her family on July 26th, 2022. Where a good time was to be had, Kristine was there: She loved music, laughter, and any excuse for a party. The youngest girl of six children, Kristine was born October 11, 1976 in Minneapolis, MN to Paul and Doris Dec. She moved with her family to Fort Worth, Texas at age eight, and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1995. Kristine was an accomplished optician who loved her job and adored her customers. Ranked #15 nationally in sales for her company, Kristine was a best friend to many, including her countless repeat customers, who gave her birthday and Christmas gifts yearly. Quite literally everyone’s friend, Kristine had an uncanny ability to connect with people through friendship and kindness; if customers weren’t friends when they came into her store, they were by the time they left. Kristine learned just five weeks ago that she had an aggressive cancer, and while her spirit was ready for the fight, it quickly became evident that her body could not keep up. Her final days were filled with family, laughs, singing, and her hallmark spunk. So ROLL OUT THE BARREL! Kristine IS the party, and the volume in heaven just got infinitely louder. Kristine was preceded in death by her father, Paul F Dec. Survived by: mother, Doris Dec (nee Wise), sister Laurie Blais (Joe), brother Brian Dec, sister Jennie Thompson (Mike), sister Melissa Tawney (Jeff), and brother Paul Dec (Beth); nieces and nephews Anna, Clayton, Sophia, Blair, Joe, Elaina, Jacob, Ben, Norah, Julia, and Audrey. Kristine is also survived by many, many best friends. We will celebrate Kristine on August 6th at 10am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 6020 Lake Ave, Auburn, NY 13021 Auburn. A gathering will take place at the UNC following graveside service.
