Leonard E. Kimball III
It is with deep and heavy sadness that Leonard Ellison Kimball III, 61, of Port Byron, NY, went to be with the Lord, due to cancer, on Thursday June 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.
Leonard (Lenny) worked as a meat cutter for most of his life and was a Correctional Officer for 25 years, retiring from Five Points Correctional Facility at the age of 56. Lenny enjoyed drinking wine and shooting the breeze at Rasta Ranch, hunting, going fishing with his wife and daughter, hosting family parties, and watching TV (especially NASCAR, golf, and hunting shows).
Lenny is survived by his wife Deborah of 31 years, son Robert Gross, daughters Amanda (Matthew) Hunt and Jessica (fiancée Jason Kirby) Kimball, mother Mina Kimball, sisters Charlene (John) Hamberger and Kathy (Glenn) Lahr, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Lenny was a loving father, husband, and friend to all.
Family and friends are invited to call on the family Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. in the Heieck-Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 E.Genesee St. Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial for Lenny will be offered in St. Hyacinth’s Church in Auburn on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Lenny will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fleming, NY.
