Lucille H. Butler, formerly of Auburn, passed away on December 20, 2014 at Oswego Hospital. She was 82 years old. She made her home in Red Creek, NY with her companion.
Lucille was born in Auburn on December 5, 1932 the daughter of the late John T. and Helen C. (Friend) Sproull. Lucille was a 1951 graduate of Auburn Central High School. She was an employee of Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center retiring in 2003 as a switchboard operator.
Lucille is survived by Edward Hockeborn; friends for 67 years and a companion for the last 12 years. Brother, Thomas Sproull of Port Orange, Florida. Nieces and nephews Carol (Ron) Steele, Donna (Stephen) Hilyer, Susan ( Gregory) Hrynyk, Thomas (Lynn) Portello, Thomas(Theresa) Sproull, and Donald Sproull. Great nieces and nephews and cousins also survive Lucille.
Ms. Butler is predeceased by her parents, her sister Eleanor Portello White and nephew Stephen
Hilyer II.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday December 26, 2014 from 10am to noon with a funeral service to follow at the Heieck – Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 E. Genesee St. Auburn, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming.
