Mary (Capozzi - Bodine) Osterman

Born 4/24/1925 Died 1/2/2025

A lifelong resident of Auburn NY. Mary was the oldest of 7. She graduated from Central High class 1943. She loved Bowling, her exercise classes, coffee with the girls and most of all her family.  She never hesitated to drop what she was doing for a ride in the boat or the promise of a good time.  She was a great cook, made time for everyone and was exceptionally strong in her faith. 

After retiring from Prudential as the office manager she spent 21 great winters with husband Bernie (deceased2001) in Melbourne, Florida. 

She was a communicate of St Francis of Assisi church and was a past officer of the Rosary Altar Society at St Aloysius. 

She is survived by one son, George Bodine.  Her siblings Angela who lives in Weedsport and Nick lives in St. Louis. 

15 grandchildren & their spouses and several great grandchildren.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Bernie in 2001, sister Lucy and her husband Nunzio, her brothers and spouses John and Mildred. Anthony and Mary, and Pat and Kay. Her two step daughters Karen and husband Jack and Jean. In-laws Donald and Arlene.

Family and friend are invited to attend her Mass of Christian burial Thursday January 9, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. in St. Francis Church 299 Clark St. Calling hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. preceding her Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
