• Michael J Tezyk, 68, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016.  Michael was born in
Auburn, NY on Sept 1, 1947. He was the son of Anna T. & Walter F. Tezyk.
He attended St. Hyacinth’s Parochial School then attended and did graduate from Central
High School. Yes he did graduate (has diploma to prove it).  He worked at Sylvania in
Seneca Falls and later at the Miller Brewery Plant until he became disabled.
Michael was a US Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam Era from May 8, 1968 to
May 8, 1970 at Fort Gordon, GA.
Michael was an avid Syracuse basketball fan. He would park in his chair with his
barbecue chips & ginger ale and watch the game not to be denied this privilege.
He had a sense of humor that sometimes left people scratching their heads but that was
his way.  As his illnesses progressed over the years, he didn’t complain and thought that
using humor was a better way of coping.
Michael is survived by 3 children, Christopher, Leah and Sara Tezyk and 2 stepsons Eric
& Mark Lynn. 3 grandsons, Ian Giannettino, Kaden Tezyk & Miles Homick. His
grandsons were his pride & joy. He enjoyed watching them play sports and was looking
forward to watching them play baseball this summer.
Also survived by 4 sisters Marcia (Jim) Zolinski, Andrea (Bill) Finnie, Christine Tezyk-
Davis and Karen Tezyk and 1 brother Stephen. 1 Aunt, Helen Rhoads, several cousins and
many nieces & nephews that he enjoyed being around which has created many memories
To reflect on and always remember the challenge of “Great Uncle Mike” vs “Bald Uncle
Mike”.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Anna & Walter Tezyk, Several Aunts & Uncles
Calling hours at Heieck-Pelc Funeral Home,LLC on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4-6:30 PM
