Patti Lou Leubner passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 85, in Auburn after a year of health challenges. Born on November 16, 1939, Patti was a beloved figure in her community, known for her resilience and unwavering spirit.
Patti cherished her family deeply, a love that was the cornerstone of her life. She was married to her devoted husband, Rodney Leubner, for nearly 45 years. Together, they nurtured a family that includes their children John Russ, Kenneth Leubner, Peter Leubner, and Patricia Leubner. She is also survived by her sister Irene VanLinder Weast.
Patti was preceded in death by her son James Russ and siblings Sally VanLinder Leubner, Nancy VanLinder, and Carl VanLinder.
Professionally, Patti spent many years at Sears before transitioning to Auburn Memorial Hospital where she worked in billing. Her career was marked by diligence and a commitment to service.
Outside of work, Patti was passionate about her gardens, which brought her immense joy. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and traveling north to spend precious time with her grandson and great – grandchildren.
These simple pleasures filled her life with happiness and peace. Patti’s life was a testament to her strength and love for her family. She will be remembered as a caring soul who brought beauty and kindness into the world through her gardens and her enduring relationships. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her as they reflect on her well-lived life.
