Robert G. Tanner, AKA Santa went home to be with The Lord on Saturday December 14th, 2013 at Auburn Community Hospital surrounded by his family.
Mr. Tanner was born on December 30, 1930 in Skaneateles the son of Claude and Laura Snyder Tanner. Robert served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Auburn Nazarene Church. During the Christmas holidays Bob enjoyed playing Santa at the Fingerlakes Mall for several years

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years the former Phyllis Cunliffe, his son Kevin and wife Annette Dilworth of Auburn, and his daughter Tammy Smock of Rochester. 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One sister Carrie Isgard of Clay.
He was predeceased by parents, daughters Brenda Domincic and Dawn M. Leone. Brothers Claude, Earl, Charles, Joe, William, Warren, Harry, and Fred. Sisters Cynthia, Helen, and Laura.
There will be no calling hours for Mr. Tanner. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Wednesday December 18 th at 10:30 a.m. in the First Church of The Nazarene, 3360 E. Genesee St. Rd. Auburn.
