Theodore R. (Ted/Teddy) Kijowski

Theodore “Ted/Teddy” Kijowski passed away peacefully at Francis House on December 25, 2024. Teddy was born on April 24th, 1952 in Auburn New York to Stanley and Dorothy Kijowski. Theodore graduated from Central High School in Auburn and Delhi College. Ted spent two years serving in the United States Army from 1972-1974. Ted retired from New York State Department of Corrections where he worked as a plumber.  Ted enjoyed the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or gardening. He spent time with his friends at the Ukrainian National Club or the SK Post of Auburn.

Theodore was predeceased by his parents, Stanly “Pahoo” and Dorothy Kijowski. 

He is survived by his two sons, Timothy Kijowski (Abigal Loop) of Auburn New York and Phillip Kijowski, beloved granddaughter Hanna Kijowski, sister Christine Washington (Wendell) of Binghamton New York and their children Danielle, Kyle and Chelsea.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday Jan. 4, 2025 in St. Hyacinth Church 63 Pulaski St. Auburn, NY at 10:30 a.m. Private burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming, NY.

In lieu of flowers, his family would be grateful for donations made to Francis House of Syracuse New York or Hospice of CNY. We are thankful for the wonderful care they provided to Ted and making the transition to afterlife easy and comfortable.
