William R. Morgan, 81, of 207 Stryker Homes, Auburn, passed away peacefully Saturday night, December 7, 2013, with his family at his side.
He was born in Auburn on December 29, 1931; William was the son of the late George and Mary Morgan of Auburn. Bill proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He retired from Alco after twenty plus years. Bill loved sports all his life, he was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing with family and friends. He was a loyal Boston Red Soxs fan and was excited to watch them win another World Series.
He is survived by his loving son. Paul Morgan and daughter-in-law Sue Morgan, grandchildren, Douglas and Shawna Morgan, sister, Mary Doan, brother, Robert Morgan of Las Vegas, and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Jack, Jim, Joe, Dick, Tom, Ed Morgan, and sister, Marge Ward.
Bill was a very generous, passionate, and caring man who left an impression on us all.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday 4-7p.m. at Heieck-Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 East Genesee St, Auburn.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming with military honors.
